Hello to all

I have come across this awsome XR Display_v2 usb using Pic18f microchip I have found a circuit diagram of the project. But i have been unable to locate the hex file for the Pic18 chip, PD Display_v2 software & if possible pcb diagrams. If any body here can help with the Pic hex or software i would be greatful.
If someone could post a link or even email me the info. Email: paulbwatson@slingshot.co.nz
Thank you in advance.

Can anyone confirm XR Display V2 is using Visualizador.dll for rfactor data output.

Be patient. In a few weeks the documentation to build a DIY XR DIsplay will be released with all necessary data.

At the moment, this project is in development.

Hi to all!

I simply couldn't believe my eyes when I saw a video showing of functions and options of this display. There is nothing near as good as yours (believe me, i searched intire internet :) ). My question is, can I buy one from you and how much € :D
I'm in the process of building F1 wheel, Ferrari style. It was intended to use SLI-M but this is way better.
This is may WIP steering wheel.

Hi all,
I'm new here. I'm french, so I speak very bad spanish (and english too  ).
I'm very interested by the diy project.

Kiwi: I think it's not connected to the GND. I saw in the Calvorota schematics the pin 12 of the two 74hc595 are connected together and only to the pic.

Hi Kiwi,

You're right... pin showed shouldn't be connected to ground. It's an image export fault (didn't noticed). Here you have the corrected file (please, Crobol... update the download link).

Save image and print (300dpi resolution).

Hi everyone!
I'm rbalint Hungary (Veszprem)
Sorry, do not speak English, write to google translator.
Interested in the XR Display project, because it seems cool. As I speak is not English, not Spanish, it is difficult enough to navigate the board. I find many dead links, reading, and I can not read at home that can be adjusted so that the display XR. I do not understand, I know that this home-programmed (plugin?) XR, the display to work in rFactor, GTR ...... If the parts could be obtained, have a go, but the programmer software does not find a dead link. Can this help in the preparation or being in the home preparation of chance?
Thank you for your help!

Hi there rbalint

It is very difficult to understand a google translation.
If you find someone who is able to translate from your mother tongue to English, life will be much easier for us ;)

Everything you need to build your own display XR have been already made public.
There's no information in English yet, but there's the will to translate the most important things.

In the meantime, if you need help, post here and we'll try to help you out.

Is it possible to buy just a blank "industrial" type PCB only? I contacted one person from here who bought multiple boards, but they would not ship to Australia.. :(

Anyway, thank you for your help..

Hi. We don't have more industrial PCB and we have no intention to make more on a future. Sorry.

But, you can use the GERBERS to do your own industrial PCB contacting a seller in Australasia.
Another option is to use the DIY "photolits" to "insolate" this PCB at home.

I'm not sure about the English translation of some "words"...

Good Luck

...and thanks by your offer to translate the next manual. We must to finish it before... :libro:

There's the will to translate the most important parts to English, but there's still nothing in the works AFAIK. So if you want to help, even if it's just a little piece I bet you'll be more than welcome :)

About the industrial PCB and shipping to Aussie land... I bet it's easier to find someone there that can build industrial PCBs. You already have the needed Gerber files as they were made public some time ago.

Hi!
I have been looking at your excellent Display XR and I am going to build one. First I am going to translate all of the information to English, I will post it here when I am done and I hope this helps people :)
I am having difficulty getting a PCB made from the Gerber files here in England, is anybody able to sell me a PCB (made from Gerber or calvorota DIY) I am willing to pay of course. I would also like to buy a programmed PIC as I do not have a programmer :(

Thank you :)
Lee

Hola!

Gracias :)
Lee

Hi L33

I may look into doing a run of PCB's if we can get enough interest (and assuming it is OK with the XR team..)

I have searched for the gerber files, but haven't found them as yet - once I do, I'll send off for a quote and post on here. I can also program the PIC as well.

Another thing I may look at doing is organising CNC machined aluminium housings like the McLaren unit - again.. if there is enough interest.

Follow this link and click on the second 'muestra' button.
The link to the gerber files is found at the bottom. A bit tricky :D
