Últimamente se ha hablado mucho de los chicos de Simbin y su nuevo simulador, no todo para bien, ya que Simbin se declaró en bancarota y ha desaparecido como tal, ahora se hacen llamar Sector3 Studios.

En la noche de ayer publicaron la versión alpha de su simulador "free to play" RaceRoom Racing Experience y han añadido modos como el Single Player, así como actualización de físicas y del FFB.

Update Content:
  • Online Multiplayer: At long last! Challenge friends and rivals or make new ones in online multi-player races.
  • Single Player: Refine your skills against intelligent and challenging computer driven opponents. Use the Adaptive A.I., which will automatically adjust difficulty based on your performance, or customize computer controlled opponent difficulty to your liking.
  • Force Feedback Enhancement: A complete rewrite of the Force Feedback code, coupled with enhanced track surface modeling on Nürburgring, Hockenheim, Oschersleben, Lausitzring, Zandvoort, Red Bull Ring, and RaceRoom Raceway provide the most realistic road feeling to date. More tracks are scheduled for upgrading in the near future.
  • ADAC GT Masters 2013: Purchase the 2013 GT Masters content pack and race some of the world’s most iconic race cars on Europe’s most exciting tracks.
  • New Menus: Improved menus for simple and fast content selection.
  • Content packs and dynamic pricing: Dynamic pricing provides steep individual discounts on DLC and content packs when a player owns certain overlapping content. Log in and view the store to see the pricing in action.
Según comentan en RaceDepartment (y como hemos experimentado Rizzo y yo) al comprar el ADAC Masters no se aplica el descuento correspondiente para comprar el SLS GT3, en teoría mañana estará corregido, así que tened paciencia con los descuentillos.

What’s New (Summary)

- DTM Experience 2014.

- Added new packs, DTM 2013, DTM 2014, European Track pack.

- Moscow Raceway, Brands Hatch and Norisring now available in RRE.

- Pit Stops (DTM 2014 Single Player only for now, it will be added to MP and other experiences later)

- We changed the way we handle Experiences. E.g. DTM 2013 owners get all DTM 2013 content unlocked in RRE. (Some licence restriction may apply e.g. DTM 2014 cars will not be available in RRE right away)

- Added Store cart system. You can now buy the exact amount of required vRP’s instead of buying vRP packs.

Game

- Added different tyre visuals. Two sets of tyres. Dtm 2014 only.

- Changed so that we can now have different race length types (laps and minutes) depending on an experience.

- Fixed an issue where the game was not pausing when alt tabbing.

- Fixed so the cut track overlay is a warning instead of a penalty.

- Implemented support for different moods per track layout instead of global moods.

- Fixed starting lights overlapping with the results if you retire before the race starts

- Fixed an issue where the default camera is becomes cockpit cam when you play a session that starts in garage.

- Fixed issue where Escape wasn’t working if AI had crossed the finish line first and player had to cross the line too to finish the race.

- Fixed a gamepad rumble issue when you quit a race or get DQd

- Fixed so the hood is replaced when repairing aerodynamics.

- Updated default controlsets. Added DRS and pit menu bindings to all profiles and removed unused lines.

- Increased max FFB vertical value to 400%

- Changed the way we treat Experiences aka Experience 2.0. We no longer treat experiences as separate addons. An experience is now similar to a content that can be part of a pack.

- Newsfeed improvements. Added more feeds to the newsfeed in player profile such as, news from subscribed fan page, competitions, discounts in store, friend activities.

- Changed to new stats system. All stats prior to September 2014 have been wiped (sorry L).

- Fixed an issue with store text not appearing complete in browsers.

Esta tarde los chicos de Sector3 Studios han hecho otro streaming de preguntas y respuestas, de lo que podemos "deducir" que:

· En un par de semanas publicaran el ADAC 2014, que incluirá el McLaren Mp4-12C, Slovakiaring y Sachsering, además de los pit stop en el multiplayer Beta.
· A finales de Diciembre o a finales de enero publicaran el DTM '92 que incluirá todos los coches de la temporada, Audi 80, BMW M3, Mercedes 2.5, Opel Omega y el Ford Mustang GT.
· Probablemente a finales de Enero o en Febrero de 2015 se publicará el WTCC2014, con el Citroen de Loeb y los circuitos de Salzurbring, Macao y Spa. Alrededor de esa fecha se publicará también Silverstone.
· A finales de 2015 estará preparado el multiplayer dedicado con soporte a ligas.

Pues q decir de este sim, canela en rama en sus "cozas" como todos supongo, el ADAC se sale de madre, me encanta, no hay nada q se le compare en Bathurst, NADA, ni AC ni rF2 ni iRacing (y mira q soy muy taliban fanboy de este último), ansioso por probar el WTCC a ver q tal xq pinta tiene.

Pues esta gente sigue calentando el ambiente para lo que debería de publicarse esta semana. Me da la impresión de que ADAC 2014 va a ser una experiencia independiente como lo es ahora DTM 2014, los menús no son los del R3E.

Lástima que "el teclillas" no tenga ya volante, podría correr emulando a su piloto favorito, DJ Qualifain.

- Fixed an issue where the user landed on the main green orb menu with experience themed text, after changing the language.
- Fixed an issue where split time between drivers would sometimes show bad data for opponent.
- Fixed track texture quality being linked to the car texture quality in graphic settings.
- Fixed an issue where the bangers were still deformed after repairing aero in pit stop.
- Added a check in code that makes sure the physics are definitely loaded for the player car.

- Made the following changes to the wrecker prevention system:
Ghosted if:
- Going in the wrong direction for more than 3 seconds.
- Standing still for more than 5 seconds
- When resetting the car

Unghosted when:
- Driving in the correct direction
- Going faster than 20m/s (72km/h)
- No car within 5 meters

Offline (Car reset only):
- Only ghosted when resetting the car
- Unghosted when going faster than 2m/s (7.2km/h) and no car within 5 meters.

- Reduced damage when not using clutch to help with manual clutch shifting.
- Fixed Race session ignoring preferred grid position set in game menu if Practice is ON but Qualify is OFF.
- Fixed an exploit in Qualifying where the player could get an extra qualifying lap if they enter the pits instead of crossing the finish line at session end.
- Corner Markers are now OFF by default in settings.
- Fixed Lap counter in pause menu not always matching the real lap counter.
- Fixed an issue where tyre flex was visible and stretching across the screen when car is on two wheels.
- Improved code flow for initializing controllers and handling ffb restarts.


Multiplayer:
- Limited the amount of server ping requests that can be active at the same time to 5.
- We now freeze session times if there are no players connected in practice and Qualifying.
- Increased MP server response timeout.


Physics & AI & Camera & Audio:

Mini-parche para R3E y video del DTM 92

- Increased server response timeout to 6 seconds to give more time to users trying to join an MP server after clicking a livery.
- Fixed ADAC GT Masters 2014 Tomas Enge wrong spelling.
- Fixed German "Verlassen" in timing screen not fitting the button box.
- Fixed an issue with finishing the race after winner has crossing the finish line.
- Fixed a crash when setting wheel range if wheel initialization failed.
- Fixed ADAC GT Masters 2014 - Race winner overlay missing comma when 2 drivers are displayed.
- Fixed Championship Winner screen listing the wrong driver number in some screens.
- Fixed resolution option text no longer fitting the given space. The hertz in the resolution was not visible.
- Fixed an issue where DTM 2014 cars were available in RRE. Unfortunately they have to remain exclusive to DTM 2014 for now. Sorry.

En RaceDepartment han comentado que tenían la intención de publicar estos coches y empezar el traslado de sus oficinas, después de eso solo queda (por el momento) los WTCC de 2014 y se centraran en solucionar bugs e implementar mejoras, ya han adelantado que en las próximas versiones podrán montarse carreras con categorias de coches diferentes. Así que esperemos que "se acabe" esto de pasar por caja tan a menudo...

Y la posibilidad de montar partidas en multiplayer de manera independiente...?? Por que la verdad es lo que le falta...y poder guardar setups..no??

Si no me equivoco el servidor dedicado lo sacaran en 2015 y lo de guardar setups ni idea.

En su último "preguntas y respuestas" dijeron que el dedicado se publicaría en 2015, aunque no más hacia finales de año. Realmente es lo que "mata" a este simulador, porque las carreras de servers abiertos son en la mayoría de los casos una carnicería.

Ya se ha publicado DTM 92, en mi caso como ya tenía el BMW M3 se me ha aplicado un 59% de descuento y se ha quedado en 916 vRP.



Si quereis meter presión a estos chicos solo hace falta pasarse por el hilo "oficial" de R3E e interrogar a Jay Ekkel o Sonat Ozturk.

Para celebrar las 24H de Daytona que se celebran hoy, han puesto en "ofertilla" el package de los Daytona Prototype, se quedan en unos tristes 195 Créditos

Pues después de unas semanas un tanto inciertas para Sector3 Studios, han vuelto dando un paso adelante, estrenan foro oficial https://forum.sector3studios.com/index.php , al igual que hicieron con los Daytona Proto, como celebración de las 12H de Bathurst (6 de Febrero) ponen en oferta el trazado en R3E http://game.raceroom.com/store/discounted/ y nos "ilusionan" con un video del futuro trazado de Sonoma y el Cadillac CTS-V (R)
